Electricity fuels consumption and production
The Light for All Program generated almost half a million direct and indirect jobs through June 2014.

There were 7.9 million light poles, 1.15 million transformers and 1.5 million km of electrical cables (enough to wrap 38 times around the Earth). Besides the boost to the electrical materials sector, the program also benefited industry and home appliance vendors, among others.
Once they had the right to electricity, 81.1% of recipients bought television sets, 78% had a refrigerator, and 46.4% bought washing machines, injecting no less than R$ 6.8 billion into the economy. Not to mention the freezers, water pumps, feed grinders...
And that's how the Light for All fuels - and enlightens - the economy.
